We are now looking for a Quality Controller who notices when things are not quite right and enjoys contributing to safe, structured, and well‑functioning production. You will join a professional and international working environment where quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement are key priorities.
Your role
As a Quality Controller, you will play an important role in ensuring that our production meets legal requirements, customer expectations and Lerøy’s quality standards. You will work closely with production, technical, cleaning and administrative teams, and have an active presence in the factory.
Main responsibilities
- Perform daily and periodic quality controls in production
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental and HSE requirements
- Monitor, report and follow up deviations, complaints and corrective actions
- Coordinate product sampling, testing, logistics and follow‑up of results
- Participate in internal and external audits, inspections and traceability exercises
- Act as a contact point towards authorities, laboratories and external partners
- Support Quality Assistants with daily routines and special tasks
- Support training, competence development and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and skills
- Relevant education or experience within quality, food production or related fields
- Good understanding of food safety and quality systems
- Ability to work structured, independently and systematically
- Comfortable being present in production and addressing deviations when needed
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English; Norwegian is an advantage but not a requirement
- Basic IT skills and ability to work with digital systems
